Kent county show 2015

Once again, the presence of Stately-Albion at an outdoor show guaranteed superbly warm and sunny weather. While we don’t want to claim full responsibility for the gorgeous weather, it is happening a little too often to be put down to mere coincidence.

The two Stately homes on show in Kent (destined for Beverley Park and Pilgrim’s Retreat, both in Kent) provided a nice juxtaposition between traditional and contemporary design; the 40x20ft Balmoral, very much an example of the style of home that has provided the bedrock of Stately’s success in recent years, and the 45x20ft Woburn, launched last year at the Newbury Show, displaying clean lines, combined with a modern and minimalist feel to its design and layout.

The weather, allied to the superb display from the Red Arrows and a daily fly-past by a beautiful Spitfire (in the week of the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain in the very skies it was fought in), along with the many varied stalls and interests represented at a typical British county show, ensured a huge crowd, well-over the expected 80,000 people over the three-day period. And at certain points, especially on the Saturday afternoon, most of the crowd seemed to be crowded into the two Stately’s….!
