Buying a Park Home
The first step to park home living is a bit like “chicken and egg”. You need to look around at the type of homes available (many are featured in detail on this website), but you need to select a suitable residential or leisure park that meets your needs in an area you like. There are literarily hundreds of parks located around Great Britain, often set in beautiful rural locations. Most are usually run by organisations or individuals who are there to ensure your happiness. That is another advantage of park home living – an on-site manager who is responsible for the good maintenance of the site and who will take care of any problems that may occur.
When looking for a park, a copy of the BH&HPA Residential Parks Guide is a useful starting point. You can also contact Stately Albion using the Contact Us page, and we will be able to help, or alternatively you could use our Park Finder facility to search for parks in your area. Remember - it is always a good idea for you to visit more than one park to enable you to make an informed decision. It is also a good idea to take a checklist with you to make sure you find out the information you need.
When visiting the park walk around on your own and try and talk to as many of the residents as you can. Also, check if the park is a member of a recognised organization - such as the British Holiday & Home Parks Association (BH&HPA), and has it any quality awards such as the National Park Home Council Quality Park Award or the Gold Shield Ten Year Warranty Scheme.
Once you have selected your park and your home, members of the Stately-Albion team and the park owner will liaise to ensure everything runs smoothly ready for the day you move in.
