What is a Park Home

So, what is a Park Home?

To some, the notion of a park home conjures up images of big caravans - but nothing could be further from the truth. Today's park homes are modern and luxurious with all the features and comforts you would expect from a conventionally built new home - and more besides! The main difference with park homes is that they are not built on site, but constructed in a factory and then delivered to the park. This gives enormous freedom for the owner to specify their particular needs with regards to room sizes and layouts. It also ensures complete control over the quality of construction.

A park home is made on a timber frame with modern insulated materials used for the structure. This is built onto a metal-wheeled chassis for the purposes of loading and siting the finished home. As with a traditional home, park homes are sited on their own plot of land with gardens, garages, etc. A concrete base is constructed on the site prior to delivery of the park home. The home is then wheeled into position, usually complete or in two parts, and then firmly fixed and raised to ensure levels and stability. Services are then connected and final checks carried out to ensure the new home is ready for occupation.

The inside of the park home is virtually indistinguishable from its bricks and mortar counterparts - modern kitchens, bathrooms, plumbing and central heating systems ensure that owners enjoy all the luxury of new home living.
Park homes are not only cheaper to purchase than a traditional home, they are cheaper to run and maintain. They also usually qualify for the lowest council tax band. Many of our homes can also be adapted for disabled use.

With the ability for customers to specify everything from room layout to fixtures and fittings, nothing comes close to the flexibility and excitement of planning and buying a new park home.
